A.W. Hamel Stair Mfg., Inc. began in 1953 with Arthur William Hamel (1918-1988)

First as a cabinet shop in a WWII surplus quonset hut, then as a part-time lumber yard, offering stairs to local homebuilders. In 1971 Art finally dedicated to solely building stairs. During these and the next several decades of thriving home construction in our Capital Region, we have been expanding our product, talent and experience with each new project. We are happy to be continuing the exceptional work begun by A.W. Hamel Stair Mfg., Inc.
